Hacker mindset — mental laziness as adversary

Five values operating beneath everything I do. Not as belief — as hypotheses repeatedly confirmed.

1. Constructive non-conformism

The world is full of problems to be solved. Mental laziness is the main adversary. Freedom — operating without asking permission to think — is a supreme good.

2. Radical autodidactism

Learning is the superpower. Learning how to learn is the meta-superpower. I feel underused when not absorbing or structuring something new.

3. Truth & rationality

There is a demand for intellectual integrity. I dislike doubtful experiences that try to seem more than they are. The right to an explanation is central.

4. Happiness through the problem

Happiness comes from solving problems.

Satisfaction is not in finding the answer. It is in the process of asking and solving. Creativity applied to expand one's own capacity — and others' — is the engine.

5. Exemplary ownership

If it's hard, it's wrong. If a teammate fails, the failure is the system's. Treat others with the exemplarity you want to receive.
